The wealthiest and most powerful men in the world are not only targeting the most vulnerable and they are exploiting them for profit, power, and control. 

The cruelty we are witnessing is beyond comprehension. Democracy, human rights, and the core values of dignity and justice are under relentless attack. 

Remember to remind yourself and others that self-care is now a radical act of healing, resistance, and survival. Our collective strength and voices are needed to fight for a more just and equitable world🌍 FOR EVERYONE!

Taking care of ourselves—mentally, emotionally, and physically—fuels our ability to rise, resist, and reclaim our power.

As a Certified 🌸Aromatherapist from the American Health Care College, I believe in the power of essential oils not only to nurture the body but also to inspire unity and collective well-being.

The Power of Nature 🌴in Turbulent Times

We are living in an era of great division. Political turmoil, social injustices, and environmental crises have left many of us feeling exhausted and disconnected. The recent political shifts, ongoing social unrest, and the ever-changing climate have made it clear that healing🙏🏽both personal and collective is imperative.

Flowers and plant-based oils have been used for centuries to soothe, heal, and inspire. The natural world and humanity share a profound symbiotic relationship trees transform the carbon dioxide we exhale into the oxygen we breathe, and in turn, we rely on them for life. 

Aromatherapy channels this deep connection, allowing us to create moments of peace,☮️ reflection, and empowerment.

This blog explores how essential oils can honor resilience, foster connection, and celebrate hope through the power of nature. Included are three essential oil blends designed to embody grace, purpose, and power—tools to help navigate the world with strength and clarity.

The Power of the Flower in Action:

Flowers have long symbolized beauty, peace, and healing. Aromatherapy harnesses these powerful properties to elevate the mind, body, and soul. By diffusing floral and plant-based essential oils, applying them topically (always diluted with a carrier oil), or simply inhaling their aromas, we tap into the timeless power of nature,.

Six Main Uses of Aromatherapy Oils:

  • 🌿 Relaxation and Stress Relief: Lavender, ylang-ylang, and chamomile oils calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.
  • 🌞 Mood Enhancement: Uplifting citrus oils like lemon, orange, and grapefruit energize the mind and bring happiness.
  • 💤 Improved Sleep: Cedarwood, lavender, and bergamot help quiet the mind and promote restful sleep.
  • 💨 Respiratory Support: Eucalyptus, peppermint, and tea tree oils clear sinuses and improve breathing.
  • 🦵 Physical Relief: Rosemary and ginger oils ease muscle tension and joint pain. 
  • ✨ Skincare: Tea tree, rose, and geranium oils soothe inflammation and promote healthy skin.

Essential Oil Safety Tips:

Dilute Before Applying: Always mix essential oils with carrier oil (coconut, jojoba, almond) to prevent irritation.

🚫 Do Not Ingest Essential Oils: Unless advised by a certified aromatherapist or medical professional, essential oils should not be taken internally.

⚠️ Avoid Sensitive Areas: keep oils away from the eyes, ears, and mucous membranes.

🐾 Pet Safety: Some essential oils (like tea tree and eucalyptus) can be toxic to pets—always research before use.

🌞 Beware of Photosensitivity: Citrus oils (lemon, orange, bergamot) can make skin more sensitive to sunlight.

DIY Aromatherapy Mist:

Self-care is a powerful act of resistance, healing, and renewal | whether used as a room spray, linen refresher, or personal aura mist.

The Three blends below will help you reclaim peace in these crazy-ass times.

Supplies needed 4oz amber spray bottles

Ingredients: 

• 10-20 drops Essential Oils of Choice (see suggested blends below)

  • 1 tablespoon vodka (the cheap shit) (helps oils disperse evenly & preserve the mist)
  • Distilled Water (prevents bacteria growth & keeps the mist fresh)
  • 2 oz Glass Spray Bottle (dark glass preferred to protect the essential oils)
  • Fill with Water – Pour distilled water into the bottle, leaving a little space at the top.
  • Shake & Label – Secure the spray top and shake well to combine. Dry the outside of the bottle and label it with the blend name.
  • Use & enjoy! – Shake before each use. Mist into the air, over your linens, or around yourself for an instant mood boost.

***You can also diffuse in your workspace or meditation area.
